Bhai Gajinder Singh’s wife Bibi Manjit Kaur Passes Away; Mortal Remains likely to be Cremated on January 28

FRANKFURT, Germany—Bibi Manjit Kaur, wife of Dal Khalsa’s founder Bhai Gajinder Singh, passed away on January 23 after a long illness. She was facing health issues for the last several years and was under medical treatment in Germany.

As per the information shared by Bhai Gajinder Singh, the mortal remains of Bibi Manjit Kaur will be consigned to flames in Germany on January 28 after completion of legal formalities.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Sehaj Path for the spiritual relief of Bibi Manjit Kaur has been laid in the Gurdwara Sahib of Frankfurt (Germany).

It may be recalled here that Bhai Gajinder Singh and his companions Bhai Satnam Singh, Bhai Jasbir Singh, Bhai Karan Singh and Bhai Tejinderpal Singh had hijacked an Air India flight IC-423 from New Delhi to Srinagar and had taken it to Pakistan on Sep 29, 1981 in protest of Sant Bhindranwale’s arrest. After undergoing 14 year jail term in Pakistani prison, Bhai Karan Singh and Bhai Jasbir Singh had taken political asylum in Switzerland while Bhai Satnam Singh and Bhai Tejinderpal Singh returned back to Punjab. Dal Khalsa’s patron Bhai Gajinder Singh is still living in exile in Pakistan.
