CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal met the Chief Minister of Orissa Sri Naveen Patnaik on January 19 to invite him to attend the main program of the 550th birth anniversary celebration due in November this year at Sultanpur Lodhi. Sources have revealed that the Orissa CM Naveen Patnaik has accepted the SGPC’s invitation.
It is learnt that Naveen Patnaik has also announced to organize a religious program commemorated to the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Orissa.
Patnaik was honored with a “Siropao” (robe of honor) and a model of Sri Harmandir Sahib on this occasion.
