:dateline:The SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars have expressed satisfaction over sentencing of Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the murder case of Journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati. The Takht Jathedars have said that Gurmeet Ram Rahim is being �rewarded� for his sins by the Almighty Lord.
Interacting with media on January 17, the SGPC appointed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said that Gurmeet Ram Rahim continuously remained indulged in inciting Sikh sentiments by performing anti-Sikhism activities. He added that the role of his disciples in the sacrilege incidents has been exposed by the Police.
Giani Raghbir Singh, the SGPC appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, said that Gurmeer Ram Rahim needs to be hanged for his unforgiveable sins. He added that Gurmeet Ram Rahim is a dark blot on the society.
It may be recalled here that the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was addressed life sentence till death by the CBI�s Special Court in the murder case of Journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati. Three others, namely Kuldeep, Nirmal and Krishan Lal were also addressed the same quantum of sentence by the Court.
