Notably, Mand�s visuals of cleaning the Rajiv Gandhi�s statue blackened by Akali leaders had gone viral over social media during the last week.
A sharp outrage had prevailed among the Sikh community on the Mand�s act of disrespecting the Turban by using it to clean the blackened statue of Rajiv Gandhi.
While tendering an apology today, Gursimran Singh Mand has claimed that he is a �true Sikh�. He has said that he did whatever seemed right to him at that time, but if his act hurt Sikh sentiments then he tenders apology.
