Direct Flights Between Chandigarh and Hazoor Sahib from January 8

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Air India, the public sector aviation company of India, is going to start direct flights from Chandigarh to Nanded from January 8 onwards. The flight is being projected as a new year’s gift to the Sikh community by the Air India.

Sources have informed that initially two flights will be made available to the pilgrims in a week on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The starting time for this Flight No. 817 from Chandigarh has been set at 09:10 am while the arrival time at Nanded will be 11:30 am. On the other hand, the Flight No. 818 will start from Nanded at 12:05 pm and the arrival time of this flight in Chandigarh will be 02:20 pm.

Situated on the banks of river Godavari in Nanded, the Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib is the fifth throne of the Sikh community. Tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh Ji had spent the last days of his life at this place.

Takht Sri Hazoor Abchal Nagar Sahib was constructed by the Sikh emperor Maharaja Ranjit Singh in between 1832 and 1837.
