:dateline:HS Phoolka, the former Indian Supreme Courts lawyer, today paid obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib for thanking Guru Sahib for making his legal battle bear fruit with the conviction of a key 1984 Sikh genocide perpetrator Sajjan Kumar. He was honored by the senior SGPC officials on this occasion.

HS Phoolka, who played an instrumental role in bringing the 1984 Sikh genocide perpetrator Sajjan Kumar to justice, had even resigned from the post of Leader of Opposition in the Punjab assembly for pursuing his legal battle for the victims of 1984 Sikh genocide.

Interacting with media on this occasion,HS Phoolka said that he will challenge the Sajjan Kumar’s plea in Supreme Court also if he moved to the apex Indian Court. He suggested that imprisonment till death was better suited punishment for Sajjan Kumar than capital punishment. He said he was also pursuing cases against other Congress leaders involved in the 1984 riots. Hearing in a case against Jagdish Tytler is currently on and hopefully moving in the positive direction. We will also file appeal against newly appointed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, he said.
