California State Assembly Members Pay Obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A group of California state’s legislators namely Ash Kalra, Mark Stone, Eloise Reyes, Sharon Quirk-Silva, Richard Bloom, Cecilia Aguiar-Curry etc. today paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib. Several other prominent personalities of America were also accompanying them on this occasion.

After paying obeisance inside the sanctum sanctorum, the group member partook “langar” at the world’s largest free community kitchen Sri Guru Ram Dass Langar. Highly impressed by the principle of equality imposed by the great Sikh masters in “langar”, the California state legislators also performed volunteer service of cleaning utensils.

All of them were honored with Siropao (robe of honor) and portraits of Sri Harmandir Sahib by the SGPC authorities.
