Fanatic Hindu Group Announces 10 Million Bounty for Beheading Navjot Sidhu; Dal Khalsa Asks Modi to Rein In Hindutva Extremist Groups

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A fanatic Hindu organization named Hindu Yuva Vahini founded by the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced a reward of Rupees 10 million for anyone who beheads Punjab  cabinet minister and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu last week. Although the Hindu Yuva Vahini claimed that the bounty has been announced on Navjot Sidhu’s head for “insulting” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath but the wording used for threatening makes it clear that these Hindu terror outfits are irking over Sidhu’s role in the opening of Kartarpur corridor.

HYV’s Agra President Tarun Singh announced that he would chop Sidhu into pieces if he ever visited Agra. “Either Sidhu should go to Pakistan, or we will not let him live in India,” he said, adding that heaping praises for the neighboring country and giving statements against his own is an “unpardonable” act.

Stating that Hindutva forces were stoking the communal cauldron in the garb of “nationalism”, the Dal Khalsa took serious note of the extremist group Hindu Yuva Vahini announcing a reward of Rupees 10 million for beheading Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.

The office bearers of the organization met to deliberate on the current political situation of the state in the backdrop of India-Pakistan agreeing to build Kartarpur corridor, Hindu extremist groups baying for Sidhu’s blood, Badals enacting drama for atonement of their sins besides trampling of human and fundamental rights in India.

Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said the language of violence has become a central feature of Hindutva politics. He said Hindutva elements were bringing the communal cauldron to a boil through sensational slogans.

Whether we like or dislike Sidhu for his political leanings or his association with Congress is a different matter, but as far as his role in making corridor dream turning into reality is concerned, the Sikhs appreciate his efforts. “The Sikh people know how to effectively deal with unscrupulous elements that use foul language or threatens their co-brethren”, warned Dal Khalsa members.
