:dateline:A local court of Amritsar� reportedly stayed the general elections of Chief Khalsa Diwan�on December 1 till issuance of its next orders. Notably, the CKD elections were due for December 2. �
It is learnt that the Civil Judge Rajbir Kaur has stayed the CKD elections on the appeal of a CKD member Harjit Singh Sachdeva in which he apprehended that the votes of some expired CKD members might be casted during this election.�
The Court has directed the Chief Khalsa Diwan�s acting president Dhanraj Singh to present their side by appearing before the Court on December 7.
Meanwhile, a group of CKD members headed by Bhag Singh Ankhi has announced to challenge the local court�s verdict in the High Court.
