:dateline:Terming the mutual efforts of India and Pakistan on Kartarpur corridor issue as a constructive step towards the global peace, the Chinese government has welcomed the� Pakistan’s initiative of opening Kartarpur corridor for the Sikhs residing in India. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that the strengthening of dialogue between India and Pakistan holds a lot of significance for global development.
�We are glad to see the good interactions between Pakistan and India. Both are important countries in South Asia. The stability of their relations means a lot to the world peace and development,� said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang in reply to a media query in Beijing today. ��
�We sincerely hope that the two countries can strengthen coordination and dialogue, properly address their differences, and improve their relations for stability and peace,� he said.
It is noteworthy here that the foundation stones of Kartarpur corridor have been laid on the both sides of Indo-Pak border by the India and Pakistan. The Indian side of this corridor is expected to get completed by the end of March next year while the Pakistani part of this corridor is expected to get completed in June next year.
