Amritsar Bomb Blast: Police Remand of Sikh Youth Bikramjit Singh Extended for 8 Days

:dateline:Dhariwal resident Sikh youth Bikramjit Singh @ Bikram, who is accused of attacking Nirankari cults outlet in village Adliwal (near Rajasansi, Amritsar) on November 18, was today produced before the court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Radhika Puri in Ajnala. On the demand of police, the court extended his remand for eight days while fixing December 5 for next hearing of the case against Bikramjit Singh.

Sikh24 has learnt that the Police demanded 15 day extension in the remand of Bikramjit Singh while claiming that the RAW has to interrogate him. The Police told the Court that the joint interrogation of Bikramjit Singh with Avtar Singh and the verification of his call records is still pending. The Police also made a cheap attempt to tarnish image of Bikramjit Singh before the Court by saying that he was having links in foreign countries.

Strongly reacting to the allegations leveled by the prosecution, the defense counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur questioned recoveries made by the Police during the last five days of remand. He told the Court that everyone these days is having their friends or family members living abroad.

However, the Court extended Bikramjit Singhs remand for 8 days after hearing the arguments of the duo sides.
