SGPC Welcomes Death Penalty for Genocide Culprit; Demands Similar Punishment for Tytler and Sajjan Kumar

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has warmly welcomed the Delhi court’s verdict addressing second death penalty in 1984 Sikh genocide cases. Notably, one of the two genocide culprits has been addressed death sentence while another one has been sentenced to life by the Court.

Terming the Delhi court’s verdict as delayed but correct, Longowal has said that it is very unfortunate that the key culprits 1984 Sikh genocide are still at large and have been enjoying the luxurious lives since then. He demanded similar punishment for the other genocide culprits like Jagdish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar etc.
