Interacting with media at his son-in-laws residence in Ferozepur, Brahmpura said that his fight is against the Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia who have brought disgrace to the party by compromising on its founding principles. I was Akali, I am Akali and will remain Akali till last breathe he said.
Reacting to Harsimrat Kaur Badals statement that the Majha based veteran Akali leaders have lost mass base, Brahmpura said that he had won the parliamentary elections by a big margin of more than 1,00,000 votes while Harsimrat Kaur Badal had won the election by just 19,000 votes.
Taking on Sukhbir Badal for undermining the supremacy of sacred Sikh institutions, Brahmpura said that even Maharaja Ranjit Singh was summoned by Akal Takht and punished, but Sukhbir summons Takht Jathedars to his house to give them orders.
Asking the SAD patron Parkash Singh Badal to take a stance in the partys favor, Brahmpura said that if Parkash Singh Badal removes Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia then he will support the party otherwise he will move ahead after deliberating future course of action with other veteran Akali leaders marginalized by Sukhbir Badal and his company.
