:dateline:Exactly a week after expelling veteran Akali leader Sewa Singh Sekhwan from the party, the SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal today expelled Parliamentarian Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Ex-Parliamentarian Ratan Singh Ajnala, Ex-MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura and Ex-MLA Bonny Ajnala from the party. The decision came in a core committee meeting of the party held today.
It may be recalled here that the veteran Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Ratan Singh Ajnala and Sewa Singh Sekhwan had openly raised a banner of revolt against the dominance of Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia over the party last month. Trio of them had accused Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia of distracting the party from Panthik issues for their own vested interests.
Ranjit Singh Brahmpura had also accused the two leaders of running mafia and managing pardon for Sirsa cult chief. �When Sirsa cult disciples were protesting, the SAD didn�t even warn them, but when Sikhs were protesting peacefully at Bargari, cops were ordered to open fire at them,� Brahmpura had claimed.
