Bandi Chhor Diwas: DSGMC Offers Prayer Outside Tihar Jail Seeking Release of Political Sikh Prisoners

:dateline:On the eve of Bandi Chhor Diwas, the Delhi unit of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) offered prayers outside the Jail No. 3 of Tihar jail seeking release of political Sikh prisoners. Notably, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and political Sikh prisoner Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria are languishing in the jail no. 3 of Tihar jail in Delhi.

It is for the first time that the SAD activists come up openly in favor of political Sikh prisoners under the leadership of DSGMC president S. Manjit Singh GK.

Addressing the media on this occasion, Manjit Singh GK said that the Shiromani Akali Dal has been fighting for the rights of political Sikh prisoners who are not being released even after serving mandatory terms of their life imprisonments.

Recalling the historic episode of getting released 52 Hindu kings from the Gwalior fort by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, GK said that they have offered prayers before the sixth Sikh master Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji to ensure release of the political Sikh prisoners.
