:dateline:Political Sikh prisoner Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Narangwal, who is serving life imprisonment in the Burail jail of Chandigarh in Beant �Singh� assassination case, was today released on parole for 42 days. �He has been languishing in jail for the last 23 years but the Indian government is still not releasing him despite completing minimum mandatory terms of life imprisonment.
It may be recalled here that political Sikh prisoners Bhai Lakhwinder Singh and Bhai Shamsher Singh were first time released on parole from the Burail jail on December 27, 2013 under pressure of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa�s hunger strike.�
