:dateline:On October 31, an Additional Session Judge of Ludhiana Mrs. Anjana Gupta issued warrants of Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara to the Tihar Jail superintendent seeking production of Jathedar Hawara in her Court on December 1 in a case pertaining to the recovery of an AK-56 rifle along with 50 cartridges in 1995.
Sharing the development with media, Jathedar Hawara�s legal counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed that these production warrants have been issued in relation to an FIR No. 139 registered in the Kotwali police station of Ludhiana under section 25 of Arms & Ammunition Act on 30-12-1995. �Although, Jathedar Hawara was acquitted in this case by the Court of Ludhiana�s Chief Judicial Magistrate Mr. Suresh Kumar Goyal on 14-05-2018 but the Punjab government has now challenged CJM Court�s verdict in the sessions court.
