1984 Sikh Genocide: Dal Khalsa to Take Out “Mashaal March” on November 3

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—To mark the 34th annual day of 1984 Sikh genocide, the pro-Khalistan Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa has announced to take out a “Mashaal March” in Amritsar Sahib. Beginning from the Bhandari bridge, the march will conclude at Sri Harmandir Sahib complex where a candlelight vigil will be held in commemoration of the Sikh genocide victims.

Sharing the development with media, Dal Khalsa’s spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh informed that the Dal Khalsa activists will sit for two hours outside Sri Darbar Sahib complex to commemorate the genocide victims. “Candle lights will be lit in memory of 3723 innocent Sikhs brutally murdered by the fanatic Hindu mobs during the 1984 Sikh genocide” he added.

Dal Khalsa leaders Kanwarpal Singh, Paramjit Singh Tanda and Ranbir Singh have appealed the common Sikh masses raise voice against the 34 year long impunity to the genocide perpetrators by participating in this march. “Justice for 1984 victims doesn’t mean votes for some political leaders like Badal who use this issue during elections but convictions of those responsible for the mass killings” they said while interacting with media at the residence of Sikh genocide victim Bibi Jagdish Kaur in Amritsar Sahib.

Reminding the SGPC of its resolutions passed in Patiala on November 6 last year to install paintings and pictures depicting 1984 Sikh genocide in the central Sikh museum, they said that the SGPC didn’t take even a single step in this concern eve after one year.

Seeking immediate installation of visuals depicting 1984 Sikh genocide in the central Sikh museum, the Dal Khalsa leaders said that it is mandatory to apprise the next generations about the barbaric carnage of Sikhs carried out by the Hindu leaders in November-1984.
