JALANDHAR, Punjab—Political Sikh prisoner Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was presented before the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mrs. Harveen Bharadwaj in Jalandhar on October 22. He was produced before the Court in relation to an FIR registered against him under sections 25 of Arms Act and 17,18, 20 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act at Bhogpur police station in 2009.
Sharing the development with media, Bhai Tara’s legal counsel Advocate K.S Hundal informed that the next hearing on the case has been deferred onto November 16. He added that Bhai Tara was brought from Burail Jail under extremely tight security.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Bhai Tara was warmly welcomed by his supporters by enchanting Sikh ovation and pro-Khalistan slogans.
Bhai Gurmukh Singh Jalndhari, Bhai Major Singh, Bhai Surjit Singh Khalistani, Bhai Sucha Singh, Bhai Rajbir Singh, Bhai Kulwant Singh, Bhai Resham Singh etc. were prominent among the supporters of Bhai Tara present outside the Court complex.
