CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Once again gesturing revolt against the Badals on October 16, the Majha based veteran Akali leaders Dr. Ratan Singh Ajnala, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Manjit Singh, Manmohan Singh Sathiala, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura and Amarpal Bony on October 16 reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib to apologize for the mistakes made by SAD (Badal) leadership in the past. Although it was being expected that these leaders could make a big announcement but all of them were seen avoiding media interaction.
Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said on this occasion that the sole motive of their visit is to apologize for the mistakes made by SAD (Badal) leadership during the past and offer prayers for the high spirit of Sikh community.
It may be recalled here that these Majha based veteran leaders had earlier also gestured revolt against SAD president Sukhbir Badal by holding press conference at Amritsar Sahib. These leaders also didn’t participate in their party’s rally held at Patiala on October 7.
Interestingly, the Badal clan is also not showing any interest towards these veteran Akali leaders. They were not even called at party’s meeting called at Chandigarh on October 15.
