In my mind, a yearning for the Divine has welled up.
The Perfect Guru has implanted the Naam of the Divine within me; I have found the Divine as I have obtained the Naam of the Divine. -Guru Ram Das Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 82

Message: As we become conscious of the Divine presence in and around us, there wells up a yearning to know more about Him and His role. This yearning helps us discover what is most treasured and transformative in human existence the understanding that the Divine is the giver of all of life; that His wisdom is realized through His grace and that He helps define the real from the illusion.

Understanding Divine grace through and within our everyday experiences, we come to a new sense of who we are. We may find ourselves sometimes directionless and at other times overloaded. But this seeking is a treasure hunt where everyone wins. No one has all the answers. The self-centred may think they do.

Hence, attending the congregation of the Guru-centred persons plays a big role. The divine understanding of Gurbani received from this association enables us to stay attuned to the Divine, all the time.

Etymology: Origin obscure, perhaps from Sanskritchaah(look for, desire) ? Prakritchaahai(wishes, expects, asks for) ? Sindhichaahu(desire, love), Old Awadhichaau(strong desire), Lahndi/Punjabichaah(wish, desire, love).
