:datelineThe Congress parliamentarian Partap Singh Bajwa has written a letter to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh seeking immediate election for the constitution of the new SGPC house. He has written in the letter that the current house of SGPC had completed its tenure on December 17, 2016 but now the SAD (Badal) affiliated SGPC members are illegally holding control of the SGPC.
Shedding light on the abolishing of voting rights of Sehajdhari Sikhs in 2016, Bajwa has written that the Court had permitted the SGPC members elected in 2011 to temporarily run the day to day affairs of SGPC but these members are continually undermining the apex Sikh institution by taking legally �invalid� decisions even after 2016.
