Bargari Agitation Will Prove A Game-Changer In Punjab Politics, says Dal Khalsa

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Interacting with media at Bargari today, the Dal Khalsa spokesperson S. Kanwarpal Singh took on the Congress led Punjab government for hurting Sikh sentiments by playing politics on sacrilege issue. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab government facilitated an escape route to the killer cops and Akali leaders to avoid arrest in police firing and sacrilege cases.

After meeting the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Takht Jathedars at Bargari, Kanwarpal Singh said that Captain led Punjab government just created hype against erring police cops on sacrilege issue but didn’t take any action against them instead provided them enough room for getting judicial relief.

Commenting on the interim relief given to Sumedh Saini by the High Court, Kanwarpal Singh said that the relief granted to Sumedh Saini is not relief to him but to the Chief Minister himself.

“Supporting the Bargari agitation wholeheartedly, we give a clarion call to people to reach Bargari on 14. We are hopeful that the mammoth pull of 7 October at Bargari is likely to be repeated on the third anniversary of the police firing on 14 October. The determination of the agitation leaders to take the struggle to its logical conclusion will prove a game-changer in the politics of Punjab” he added.
