Swap Land with Pakistan to Get Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib, Partap Bajwa Suggests India

:dateline:Congress parliamentarian S. Partap Singh Bajwa has sought land swap between India and Pakistan to facilitate permanent access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib to the Sikhs masses residing in India. He has said that it will be a great gift to the Sikh community if the duo governments manage to facilitate permanent access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib to the Indian Sikhs through a land swap.

Interacting with media on September 25, S. Partap Singh Bajwa said that building a corridor to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib for Indian Sikhs wont be a permanent solution.

Citing a similar land swap occurred between the India and Pakistan in 1962 to facilitate permanent access of the tombs of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, Bajwa said that the Indian government had succeeded in getting the tomb area through a land swap. I have appealed the Indian Prime Minister to make such an attempt to facilitate permanent access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib on the eve of 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji he added.
