Water Level in Ranjit Sagar Dam Touches New Record Height of 526.29 Meters

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Due to an incessant water influx into the lake of multi-purpose Ranjit Sagar Dam, the water level today touched a new record height. At 2 pm (IST) today, the water level in Ranjit Sagar Dam was recorded 526.29 meters.

It is pertinent to note here that 540 meters high Ranjit Sagar Dam has the capacity of storing water up to 527.90 meters.

Sources have informed that the water influx into the dam has started declining due to which the spillway gate no. 4 of the dam has been closed.
