32nd Martyrdom Anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola Observed

:dateline:A religious program commemorated to the 32nd martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola was organized at his native residence in Tarn Taran by the Sikh sangat on September 23. Notably, Shaheed Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola was a front line militant of the Sikh struggle who carried out a number of actions to punish anti-Sikh elements including Jagbanis Editor Ramesh Chandar, the then DSGMC president Harbans Singh Manchanda and the smuggler Surinder Shinda (who had martyred Shaheed Bhai Surinder Singh Sodhi) at the behest of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.

Following the culmination of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, family members of Bhai Bhola performed Kirtan. Granthi Bhai Tarlochan Singh Ji performed Ardas and read the sacred Hukamnama on this occasion.

At conclusion of the program, Bhai Bholas brothers S. Jarnail Singh, S. Darshan Singh and S. Jagjit Singh were honored with Siropaos by the Granthi Bhai Tarlochan Singh, Bhai Bhupinder Singh (brother of Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda), Bhai Parwinder Singh and Bhai Dilbag Singh.

It may be recalled here that Shaheed Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola was martyred by Sukhdev “Singh” Panjwar alias Sukha Sipahi alias General Labh Singh” at Damdami Taksals headquarter Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash, Mehta on September 17, 1986. Bhai Bhola was called under the pretext of a meeting at Mehta ahead of AISSFs general meeting on September 20, 1986 but was back-stabbed by the so called militants headed by General Labh Singh for the hunger of fame.
