:dateline:The 531st marriage anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Mata Sulakhni Ji was celebrated with full religious fervor and devotion in Batala on September 16. Sri Akhand Path Sahibs, laid on September 14 to commemorate this auspicious day in various Sikh shrines, were culminated at Gurdwara Sri Kandh Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Dehra Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Satkartarian and Gurdwara Achal Sahib.
Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, a religious procession was begun from Gurdwara Sri Dehra Sahib amid echoes of Sikh ovation under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Sukhjinder Singh Ji placed the holy corpus inside the palanquin. A mini helicopter prepared by some youths showered flower petals on the palanquin during the procession.
The religious procession was concluded in the evening hours after traversing through various pathways of Batala.
