Amid Sharp Protests, SAD Organizes Faridkot Rally Under Strong Security Shield

:dateline:Amid sharp protests by the Sikh masses, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) today successfully organized its rally at Faridkot under strong security shield of Police cops around the city. It is notable here that the Faridkot administration had earlier denied permission to SAD for holding this rally, but the SAD had succeeded in getting permission after approaching Punjab & Haryana High Court on September 15.

Due to sharp outrage against the SAD (Badal), multiple tier security arrangements were made by the Administration to avoid any untoward incident by sealing all the ways leading to the Faridkot city. The Faridkot city seemed a fortress with the deployment of more than 10,000 Police cops.�

Despite strong security arrangements, some Sikh activists headed by Gurdeep Singh Bathinda succeeded in breaking a preliminary barrier but they couldn�t reach the rally venue due to multiple tier security checks installed by the administration. After it, the Sikh protesters staged protest at the Police check seeking arrest of Badals for their role in the martyrdom of two innocent Sikh youths in Behbal Klan firing incident.�

At the rally, the SAD patron Parkash Badal used his old trick to get Sikh sympathy by recalling the atrocities committed by the Congress on Sikhs. Accusing the Congress of being an anti-Sikh and anti-Punjab party, Parkash Badal said that the Congress has triggered an internecine war in Punjab and they would have to make martyrdoms for maintaining the peace in Punjab. �I, and my son Sukhbir Badal won�t even refrain from getting martyred� he claimed while adding that an armed person had arrived in their rally to kill them but was caught by the Police.

Taking on the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh for using ill language against Parkash Badal in the Punjab assembly, the SAD president Sukhbir Badal raised finger on the character of Captain Amarinder Singh. Accusing the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Interim Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand of purchasing a new property worth Rupees 3 million, Badal asked Jathedar Mand to explain from where he got this money.

Bikram Majithia made mockery of Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal by calling him �Dadduwal� besides taking on Navjot Sidhu and Sunil Kumar Jakhar in the rally.

In the end, the SAD leaders thanked the Punjab & Haryana High Court for saving the democracy by permitting to hold rally at Faridkot. Advocate Dhamanbir Sobti, who fought party’s case in the high court, was honored by Parkash Badal on this occasion.
