:dateline:Sirsa cult disciple Shakti Singh, one of the main culprits responsible for committing sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji after stealing the holy corpus from village Burj Jawahar Singh Wala on June 1, 2015, succeeded in getting bail from the CBI court on September 14. It is learnt that the investigating team of CBI didnt object over the bail plea moved by Shakti Singh in the Court of Special Judicial Magistrate Jatinderpal Singh.
It may be recalled here that the Special Investigation Team headed by DIG Ranbir Singh had arrested Shakti Singh s/o Basant Singh in June this year along with 9 other Sirsa cult disciples. The CBI had then taken Shakti Singh to Delhi along with Mohinder Pal Bittu and Sukhjinder Singh on remand for 8 days.
On being approached by media, DIG Ranbir Singh Khatra said that although Shakti Singh succeeded in getting bail from the Court but still he wont be able to come out as he is not given bail in the Moga arson case. However, he refused to comment over the CBI Courts decision of granting bail to Shakti Singh.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Shakti Singh succeeded in getting bail because the CBI team investigating case didnt file the requisite challan against the accused within 60 days.
