Damdami Taksal Appeals Indian President to Release 20 Sikh Prisoners

:dateline:In a letter written to the Indian president Ramnath Kovind, the Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has sought the release of 20 political Sikh prisoners on the eve of the 550th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji next year. Beside it, he has also sought custodial parole for Bhai Paramjit Singh Bheora so that he could meet his bedridden mother.

Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has said in the letter that not only Sikh community instead other Guru Nanak lover communities are also making preparations for celebrating the 550th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji due next year. He has appealed the Indian president Ramnath Kovind to release political Sikh prisoners on this auspicious occasion.
