CHANDIGARH—Fearing of Sikh ire against Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), the SAD leadership has changed the venue and the date of its rally, which was scheduled to be held in Kotkapura on September 15. Now, the SAD will hold its rally at Faridkot on September 16.
It is pertinent to note here that the Sikh outfits were continuously protesting against SAD’s rally scheduled for September 15 at Kotkapura. Some Sikh organizations had even submitted a memorandum to the Kotkapura police administration seeking ban on this rally.
Confirming the development, Akali leader Satish Grover informed that now the rally will be held at Sadiq Chowk of Faridkot on September 16. He claimed that the rally will draw a large gathering like Abohar’s rally held on September 9.
