SGPC Ready to Build Corridor for Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib If India and Pakistan Agree, says Longowal

:dateline:Warmly welcoming the initiative of Pakistan government to provide visa-free access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib to the Sikhs residing in India, the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal has said that the SGPC is ready to build this corridor if the governments of India and Pakistan agree to move ahead.

Seeking opening of the corridor to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib without any delay, Longowal has also appealed the Indian government to quickly take decision about it.

It may be recalled here that the Pakistans Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary had informed in an interview on September 7 that the Pakistan government is going to provide Visa-free access of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib to the Sikhs residing in India on the eve of Guru Nanak Sahibs 550th birthday celebrations.

Fawad Chaudhary had further stated that the Pakistan government is aspirant of establishing robust relations with India but the latter is not responding in a positive manner. Even the Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa backs the Pakistan governments desire to pursue talks with India as he has realized that Pakistan cant develop alone said Chaudhary.
