:dateline:In a sudden appearance during the worst time of Shiromani Akali Dal, the former SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar on September 1 said that the SAD had committed a big mistake ignoring the sentiments of Sikh community for which the SAD needs self-introspection.

Makkar revealed that the then Chief Secretary of Punjab used to make Justice Zora Singh wait for several hours and at last he was forced to go back without meeting the Chief Secretary. �
He further said that Justice Ranjit Singh done that work which would have been done by the Shiromani Akali Dal. �Instead of walking out of the Punjab assembly, the SAD legislator would have repented for its mistake there� he added.
He should be punished also. He is no less than Gurbachan singh and other jathedars.
