Captain Sidelines CBI on Sacrilege Row; SIT to Probe Behbal Klan and Kotkapura Firing Incidents

CHANDIGARH—On the request of Congress as well as the AAP legislators, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on August 28 announced to take back the probe of sacrilege cases as well as the Behbal Klan and Kotkapura firing incidents from the CBI and appoint a Special Investigation Team of Punjab police for concluding the cases at the earliest.

Interestingly, the environment of the Punjab assembly seemed a Panthik congregation on August 28 in which the legislators didn’t refrain from exposing the anti-Panthik activities of Badals and the violation of human rights carried out by the notorious Police officer Sumedh Saini.

Speaking in the assembly, the Cabinet minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa shed light on the several extra-judicial murders committed by the former Punjab DGP Sumedh Saini during his whole service period. He said although he was cautioned not to talk about the Ex-DGP Sumedh Saini but still he couldn’t hold himself back.
