Attack on Lt. General Kuldip Brar: Convict Harjeet Kaur Released on Parole for 12 Weeks

LONDON, UK—Bibi Harjeet Kaur, one of the four Sikh activists who had attacked the Indian Army’s Lieutenant General Kuldip Brar at London in 2012, was released on parole for 12 weeks. Notably, Bibi Harjeet Kaur was addressed 11 years imprisonment by the London Court in this case.

It may be recalled here that Lieutenant General Kuldip Brar was attacked by four Sikhs namely Mandeep Singh Sandhu, Dilbag Singh, Barjinder Singh Sangha, and Harjeet Kaur in central London on September 30, 2012. Lt Gen Brar and his wife Meena were on their way from their hotel for a night in the West End when the attack happened.

While imprisoning the Sikh attackers, the Trial Court had said in its verdict that General Brar was attacked for his role in the armed invasion into Sri Harmandir Sahib during June-1984.
