:dateline:The Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar, Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, was today discharged in a 13 year old case of attacking a head constable Jasvir Singh by the District and Sessions Court of Moga. Jathedar Hawara was produced before the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Tarsem Mangla through video conferencing from the Tihar Jail in Delhi.
It is pertinent to note here that Jathedar Hawara was indicted under sections 307, 353, 323, 186 and 120B of the IPC at the Badhni Klan police station in Nihal Singh Wala (a sub-division of the Moga district) on February 18, 2005 for attacking a head constable named Jasvir Singh.
Sikh24 has learnt that the Court had fixed the case hearing for today to frame charges against Jathedar Hawara but the prosecution couldnt present evidences backing its claims before the Court due to which the Court discharged him by absolving all the charges against him.
It is noteworthy here that the three others, who were also framed by the police in this case along with Jathedar Hawara, have been already discharged by the Court earlier.
