ਸਤਸੰਗੁ (satsaňg)

ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਹੋਇ   ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਈ॥
ਜੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂਮੈਂਨਿਉਂ ਨਿਉਂਕੇ(ਸਤਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ)ਚਰਨੀਂਲੱਗਾਂ।

vaḍai bhaag satsaňg hoi   niv laagaa paaee.
By great fortune, if I may find the congregation of truthful people, I bow and touch their feet. -Guru Arjan Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 709

Message: Attending the congregation where we have the opportunity of learning the teachings of Gurbani is a very dynamic experience for our continued spiritual growth.

The verse above points to the yearning and humility a seeker needs to develop to nourish truth consistently. A Sikh (a seeker or a learner) is expected to be full of humility before the Guru and Guru-oriented people. By surrounding ourselves with such positive and pure souls, we stay inspired and focussed on the divine path.
