PSGPC Honors Meritorious Sikh Students of Matriculation Examination

:dateline:In an attempt to encourage the Sikh students towards academic excellence, the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee organized a special function at Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib on July 31 to honor the merit holders of matriculation examination. All the students, who secured more than 1000 marks out of the total 1100 marks in matriculation examination, were honored with a cash reward, certificate, Siropao and a memento.

Sharing the development with Sikh24, S. Sukhbir Singh Mann and Babar Jalandhari informed that four merit holder students were honored with a cash reward of Rupees 50,000/- each by the PSGPC�s general secretary S. Gopal Singh Chawla and the ETPB�s additional Mr. Tariq Wazir Khan.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the PSGPC�s general secretary S. Gopal Singh Chawla shed light on the background of female Sikh student Joginder Kaur, who secured 1056 out of the total 1100 marks in matriculation examination. He informed that the elder brother of Joginder Kaur was also a merit holder of matriculation and FSA examinations some years ago, but he had to quit his study due to the untimed death of his father. �Joginder Kaur�s brother worked hard for her sister�s education and now the result is in front of us� he added.
