AMRITSAR SAHIB—In a repeated warning issued to the Management Committee of Gurdwara Austral of Sydney (Australia) on July 28 for forcing the devotees to partake ‘langar’ on table and chairs, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has directed the president of the Austral Gurdwara Committee to make sure the proper imposition of the rule of ‘pangat’ in ‘langar’. He has said that if the management committee of Gurdwara Austral doesn’t adhere to the rule of ‘pangat’ in ‘langar’ then strict action will be taken against the committee.
Interacting with media on July 28, Giani Gurbachan Singh has said that the management committee of Gurdwara Austral (Sydney) has been already issued warning twice via media for forcing the devotees to partake ‘langar’ on table & chairs but there is no impact on the management committee.
He added that the Sikhs can never abide by the dictatorial order of the Gurdwara Austral’s management committee to partake ‘langar’ on table & chairs as it is a huge violation of the concept of ‘pangat’ enlightened by Guru Sahib to partake ‘langar’.
Appealing the Sikh masses to raise voice against the management committee of Gurdwara Austral, Giani Gurbachan Singh has said that no one in this universe holds any right to challenge the Sikh code of conduct.
