Two Protests Organized for Jagtar Singh Johal on July 23, 2018 in Birmingham and Edinburgh, U.K.

LONDON, UK—Scottish activist Jagtar Singh Johal will reach 300 days in confinement in August 2018. Jagtar was abducted on 4 November, 2017 with a sack thrown over his head and subsequently tortured 4-7 November, 2017 by the Indian authorities.

After more than eight months in detainment, during which no evidence or formal charge was presented, the Indian authorities have implicated Jagtar in a case.
In response, two protests have been organized in the U.K. Both of the protests will take place on Monday July 23, 2018, one in Birmingham and the other in Edinburgh, at the same time.

With India charging Jaggi in falsified cases, the family of Jagtar Singh Johal ask the followers of the #FreeJaggiNow campaign to join them at either of 2 planned protests.
With the support and organisation from the Federation of Sikh Organisations (FSO), there will be a protest in Edinburgh and Birmingham. Both of these protests will take place on Monday 23 July 2018 at 2pm – 4pm.
