DSGMC Objects over the Misuse of word Kaur in the Title of Biopic on Sunny Leone

:dateline:Strongly objecting over the use of pious word Kaur in the title of a biopic shot on the pornstar turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has asked the producer of Subhash Chandra of Essel Group to remove the sacred word Kaur from the biopics title or get ready to face the Sikh wrath.

Notably, a private limited firm has made a biopic named Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny which showcase Sunny Leones journey from being a middle-class girl to an adult film star and subsequently a Bollywood diva.

In a letter written to the producer of Essel group, the DSGMC general secretary S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote that there is a sentimental value attached with the surname Kaur. Every Sikh girl remains a Kaur before and even after marriage. It is a part of her identity given by the Gurus, he added.

Terming the use of Kaur in the title Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone as a publicity stunt in bad taste, Sirsa has made it clear to the producer Subhash Chandra that they wont even hesitate from even staging protests at his office premises if he doesnt remove the word Kaur from the biopics title.
