Portrait of Jathedar Jagdev Singh Talwandi to be Installed in Central Sikh Museum

:dateline:In a meeting held at Talwandi Sabo today, the SGPC�s executive committee has decided to install the portrait of veteran Akali leader Jathedar Jagdev Singh Talwandi in the central Sikh museum. It is noteworthy here that Jathedar Talwandi had also served the SGPC as its president. �

Beside this, the SGPC also resolved to honor the Sikh players with special reward who bring laurels to the country. �Gursikh players winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Olympic games will be honoured with a cash reward of Rupees 5 lakhs, 4 Lakhs and 3 Lakhs respectively� said the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal while interacting with media.

Longowal informed that the Gursikh players winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Asian games will be honoured with a cash reward of Rupees 4 lakhs, 3 Lakhs and 2 Lakhs respectively, while those winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Commonwealth games will be honoured with a cash reward of Rupees 3 lakhs, 2 Lakhs and 1 Lakh.
