:dateline:Peshawar based Sikh leader Baba Gurpal Singh has informed that the Sikh residents of Peshawar has selected land for constructing crematorium in Peshawar. He added that the selected land is three kilometers away from Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh.
It is pertinent to note here that there is no crematorium in Peshawar for cremating the mortal remains of Sikhs and Hindus living there. At present, the Peshawar resident Sikhs have to go 45 to 60 Kilometers away in Attock for consigning the mortal remains of their lost ones to flames.
Baba Gurpal Singh informed that the representatives of Sikh community will meet the Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar next week, so that the selected land could be purchased for constructing crematorium for the Sikh and Hindu minorities. �
