Sacrilege Suspect Woman Nabbed inside Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB—A sacrilege suspect woman named Bimla was nabbed by the priests appointed inside Sri Harmandir Sahib on June 28. It is learnt that the nabbed woman hails from Ludhiana.

As per information availed by the Manager of Sri Harmandir Sahib S. Jaswinder Singh, the suspect woman entered into room no. 5 near Dukh Bhanjni Beri where Sri Akhand Path Sahib was ongoing. He informed that the suspect woman started pulling Rumala of the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji installed there.

The Priests sitting there immediately came to action and nabbed the woman. She was later handed over to the Police and a complaint against her was lodged by the SGPC.

Sikh24 has learnt that the Police have registered an FIR against suspect woman Bimla under section 295 of Indian Penal Code.

On being contacted by Sikh24, Incharge of Police Station Inspector Bhagwan Singh informed that the suspect woman has been sent for medical checkup to know about her mental fitness.
