Kaar Sewa Begins for Renovation of Gurdwara Sri Dukh Bhanjni Ber Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB—Kaar Sewa (Volunteer Sevice) to renovate Gurdwara Sri Dukh Bhanjni Ber Sahib was commenced on June 8 by the SGPC. Following the recitation of ‘Ardas’ by Bhai Sultan Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh read the sacred ‘Hukamnama’ (order of the Almighty Lord). The SGPC has assigned this task to Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale. 

SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the historic Gurdwara Dukh Bhanjni Ber Sahib holds great importance in Sikh history so the SGPC keeps on making efforts for its take care. Hailing the services of Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Giani Gurbachan Singh expressed hope that this task will also get completed by time.

Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh said that renovation of Gurdwara Sri Dukh Bhanjni Ber was the need of time. He informed that the ‘Ishnaan Ghar’ (place for taking dip in holy pond) of women will be expanded under this ‘Kaar Sewa’.

Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, SGPC’s executive members Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Baba Sukhwinder Singh, SGPC Secretary Dr. Roop Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
