:dateline:34th anniversary of the 1984 holocaust was observed by the SGPC at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on June 6. Sri Akhand Path Sahib, laid in commemoration of the martyrs of 1984 holocaust, was culminated at 7 am following which Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Rai Singh delighted the Sikh masses with melodious Gurbani Kirtan.
After this, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh begun his speech to address the customary message. As soon as Giani Gurbachan Singh started his speech, the Sikh masses started protesting by shouting pro-Khalistan slogans to make his speech non-listenable.
In his customary speech, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the Indian government had promised of giving an independent state to Sikh community in 1947 but the government didnt deliver onto its promises instead made the Sikh community feel slavery by demolishing Sri Akal Takht Sahib with tanks in June-1984.
Giani Gurbachan Singh asked the saffron Indian government to disclose documents pertaining to June-1984 holocaust so that the Sikh community could get aware of the powers that joined India in committing this barbaric carnage.
A minute clash between the protesting Sikhs and the SGPCs task force was witnessed in which turban of a baptized Sikh youth got removed.
Family members of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh Ji and other martyrs were honored with Siropao (robe of honor) on this occasion.
Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedars Bhai Dhian Singh Mand and Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal remained absent on this historic day.
These people make the same statements every year what are they doing rest of the year. We need new organisations who will work for the the Sikh masses and not fill their pockets.
