Deceased Peshawari Sikh leader Cremated in Attock

:dateline:Dead body of Peshawari Sikh leader Charanjeet Singh was cremated in the crematorium of District Attock on May 30. Notably, Peshawar based Human rights activist and Vice President of Peshawari Singh Sewa Society S. Charanjeet Singh was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. �

Before cremation, the dead body of S. Charanjeet Singh was kept for glimpse in Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh of Peshawar and was carried to 45 Kilometres away in Attock for cremation after wrapping it in a Pakistan�s national flag. A massive gathering of Sikhs and Hindus was observable on this occasion.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police Mr. Salahuddin Mehsud has taken notice of Charanjeet Singh’s killing. He has directed the police of Peshawar to arrest the accused on a priority basis. He has also sought a report on the case within a week.
