DSGMC Also Lodges Police Complaint Against Narayan Dass

NEW DELHI—S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the General Secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee, on May 16 lodged a complaint against Narayan Dass who had hurt Sikh sentiments by accusing Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji of distorting verses of Bhagats. Sirsa lodged this complaint with SHO of Delhi’s North Avenue police station seeking registration of an FIR against Narayan Dass for hurting Sikh sentiments by using derogatory remarks against fifth Sikh master Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.

It is pertinent to note here that a video of Narayan Dass, who portray himself as a disciple of Baba Sri Chand Ji, had gone viral over social media in which he could be seen accusing Guru Sahib of distorting verses written by the Bhagats. Furthermore, he had also insulted the great martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji by saying that Guru Sahib was punished for his sin of distorting verses of the Bhagats.

Apprising the SHO about Narayan Dass’ attempt to spread hatred among society, Sirsa wrote in the complaint that Narayan Dass intentionally did so to hurt Sikh sentiments and create communal tension in the society.

Meanwhile, a campaign urging Sikhs to lodge police complaint against Narayan Dass in their respective police stations has come to fore over social media.
