AMRITSAR SAHIB—Trials for the selection of teenage players in SGPC run Hockey academies have been begun at Guru Nanak Dev University situated in Amritsar Sahib. The selection process through trials will last till May 11.
Sharing the development with Sikh24, SGPC’s Additional Secretary S. Diljeet Singh Bedi informed that only Gursikh players will be given chance to get training in SGPC run academies. He added that the selection trials have been categorized as Under-14, Unider-17 and Under-19 age groups. “The players selected in these trials will be provided coaching, accommodation, food, sports kits etc. free of cost” he said.
Interested candidates have been asked to appear in the trial process along with their educational transcripts, documents depicting their date of birth and two passport size photographs.
