BREAKING: Harinder Sikka excommunicated by Takht Jathedars

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—A day before the release of controversial movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’, the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars today announced to excommunicate the producer Harinder Sikka from Sikh community. The move came after the meeting of four Takht Jathedars and Punj Piara Bhai Joginder Singh held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib today under the leadership of Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Addressing the sacred edict from the podium of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh directed the Sikh community to keep no relation with Harinder Sikka. He said that Harinder Sikka has become a tool of anti-Sikh powers which are eager to repeat the 40 years ago Sikh massacre carried out by the so called ‘Nirankaris’ and Indian machinery.

Giani Gurbachan Singh also directed the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and Sikh Parliamentarians to immediately rake up the matter with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. He has said that if the Indian government fails to prevent release of this movie on April 13 then it will be responsible for serious consequences expected to come in response to screening of this movie.

Giani Gurbachan Singh has directed the Sikh community to boycott this movie and stage peaceful protests.

  1. The movie should have never produced. But these jathedars have no credibility. They excommunicated persons like Prof Darshan Singh whose fault that he believes in only Guru Granth Sahib and nothing else, what is wrong with that ?
